Just in time for L.A. Pride, the Rainbow Book Bus is making a stop in Los Angeles.
The traveling mobile library – a brightly-painted school bus with rainbow stripes – is designed to be a tribute to LGBTQ+ authors. KNX News’ Craig Fiegener spoke to Councilmember Traci Park about it.
“Inside the bus there are just shelves of books and literature and materials, ways of storytelling on behalf of this really, really incredible population, stories of inspiration, a lot of books that have actually been banned that have been very controversial,” Park said.
