
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KNX) – Two players from the Los Angeles Rams walked away winners during Thursday night’s NFL Honors.
Wide receiver Cooper Kupp took home the 2021 AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year. Kupp also won DraftKings Daily Fantasy Player of the Year.
Offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth won the Walter Payton Man of the Year award, and is the first Rams player to ever win it, according to NBC Sports. Whitworth's foundation, Big Whit 77 Foundation, which helps the youth and families in local communities. His foundation includes programs such as Whit's Warriors, Open Arms, and Wish List.
During his speech, Whitworth said more work needs to be done to help the community.
“Social media has been great for bringing awareness to all our causes, but that’s not enough,” Whitworth said during his speech. “We need more action. Whether we choose to acknowledge it or not, this is the truth.”
