An informational meeting will be held for people impacted by the landslide starting at 2 p.m. at the Ladera Linda Community Center. Los Angeles County services, state agencies, nonprofits, and emergency personnel will bein attendance.
Then, Rancho Palos Verdes is set to have its city council meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday to consider declaring a new local emergency in the Portuguese Bend community. The local emergency would help people impacted by gas shutoffs to try and obtain financial assistance from the government.
The landslide led to gas shutoffs for more than 130 homes in Rancho Palos Verdes. The power was also off overnight for about 50 homes in the area Monday as SoCal Edison crews did work nearby.
