RIVERSIDE (CNS) - A 48-year-old inmate died in custody Thursday in the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, Riverside resident Damon Bietz was found unresponsive Thursday in the intake area and was administered lifesaving measures until the arrival of paramedics.

Sheriff's officials said Bietz was later pronounced dead with no sign of foul play.

An investigation is underway by the Corrections Central Investigations Bureau.
