Negotiations between SAG-AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers will continue Wednesday.

“Following a meeting Monday night with the AMPTP, the TV/Theatrical Negotiating Committee spent 10 hours deliberating today. We will continue on Wednesday,” SAGAFTRA said. “We appreciate your patience and support while we finish our work.”

It comes one day after Deadline reported that the two sides reached a breakthrough regarding the use of artificial intelligence. The outlet cited a guild source who said they are “very close with strong protection language in place.”

Burbank mayor Konstantine Anthony, who is also a SAG-AFTRA member, said as an actor, he’s encouraged by the progress.

“As the mayor of a studio town, I'm very relieved that we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel,” he said.

Cyan McClairian, an actress and screenwriter, said she doesn’t have a lot of faith in the AMPTP.

“But honestly, we are in that time period right now that it should be solved. I mean, it should have been solved on day one,” she said.

The actors have been on strike since July 14.
