SANTA ANA, Calif. (KNX) — More than $1 million worth of COVID-19 tests in Santa Ana, Calif. vanished without a trace between Dec. 30 of last year and Feb. 7 of this year after an employee of the Covid Clinic company allegedly began having shipments sent to his home.
The Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD) shared Carlitos Peralta’s photo with the public Wednesday, in hopes that someone will be able to share where he is — and help them recover some of the tests.

Peralta was formerly a warehouse manager for Covid Clinic, located at 3401 W. MacArthur Boulevard. His position gave him access to the center’s shipping and delivery systems - which is what he allegedly manipulated to have $1,000,575,000 worth of COVID tests shipped to his home, SAPD Sgt. Maria Lopez told KNX.
“He had access to the computer system so he was having them delivered to his home and using various names,” Lopez said. “And that’s essentially how it was alerted to the company.”
Lopez said the tests, stored at Covid Clinic’s seven warehouses across the nation, were destined for various customer locations, at schools, pop-up testing sites, medical clinics, hotels and other businesses.
In all, Peralta had nearly 100 separate shipments of large amounts of COVID-19 tests sent to his home from multiple “Covid Clinic” warehouses.
Anyone with information about where Peralta may be, or who recognizes him after seeing the wanted poster, is asked to contact Detective Wilson at (714) 245-8551.
