SANTA CLARITA (CNS)- Sheriff's deputies searched a high school campus Friday after receiving reports of students suffering from gunshot wounds, which turned out to be false.
The hoax was reported around 1:45 p.m., prompting sheriff's deputies from the Santa Clarita station to respond to Saugus High School, at 21900 Centurion Way.
A preliminary search revealed no evidence of a crime, nor credible threats attributed to four students sustaining gunshot wounds, sheriff's officials said. An investigating was ongoing.
Saugus High School was the scene of a mass shooting on Nov. 14, 2019, when a 16-year-old gunman shot five schoolmates, killing two, before killing himself.
