A search is underway for a possible serial arsonist after multiple fires were reported in Reseda.
At least six fires were reported in the area of Reseda Boulevard and Vanowen Street. The first fire happened around 11 p.m. Monday, according to ABC 7.
In one case, debris and leaves in the bed of a truck that was parked in the area was set on fire, City New Service. Firefighters were able to put it out.
No injuries were reported.
One resident told KNX News’ Jon Baird, it’s ridiculous.
“I don’t know why people would do such a thing like that,” he said.
Another resident said he’s never seen anything like this.
“I bought my house maybe like four years ago and I’ve never seen anything like this,” he said.
Authorities believe the person behind the fires is also accused of starting other fires in the area over the past three days, according to KTLA.
The Los Angeles Fire Department says they are searching for a person of interest, who they’ve described as a woman on her bike.
