Authorities shifted their attention from the Rose Parade to the Rose Bowl as fans headed to the stadium to watch Ohio State play against Oregon.

It comes after 15 people were killed and more than 30 others were injured after a driver ran into a crowd in New Orleans early Wednesday morning.

KNX News’ Pete Demetriou reported that law enforcement teams were spread so thoroughly through the stadium. Pasadena Police Chief Gene Harris told Demetriou anything abnormal going on would have been spotted in seconds.

“We've got physical barriers,” he said. “We've got traffic itself as a barrier, so that’s a friend of ours when we get to events like this. We've got multiple people at different stations. The way that we've set it up makes it really, really difficult for somebody to put a car or any other type of kinetic weapon close to the stadium.”

Demetriou also spoke with fans about whether they were concerned about security heading into the game. Two fans named Chris and Jenny said they weren’t concerned at all.

“We've lived in Europe when the wave of terror attacks occurred there a few years ago,” he said. “You can either live your life and go on or you can hide in the closet and we're not gonna hide in the closet. We're gonna enjoy the game.”

Jenny said she saw plenty of security while heading to the stadium.

“I was just walking here to meet him and there were four or five golf carts I passed that were full of sheriffs and they're looking around,” she said. “I know they got an eye on things, so there's nothing for me to worry about.”

Another fan said he was happy to see the security around the stadium.

“I respect them and appreciate what they're doing so we can come out here and enjoy the game,” he said.

The Sugar Bowl between Notre Dame and Georgia, which was set to take place at the Lousiana Superdome, was postponed to Thursday following the attack.
