LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Authorities released security video Wednesday of one of two armed robberies that took place on the same night in the Koreatown area, and sought the public's help in identifying the gunman wanted in both crimes.

The first robbery occurred around 9:55 p.m. March 15 in the 4400 block of Beverly Boulevard, and the second occurred about an hour later in the 800 block of Third Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

In both crimes, the suspect confronted the victims at gunpoint, took items from them and fled on foot, according to police. No injuries were reported.

The gunman was described as 6-feet tall, about 30-35 years old, weighing 180-190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black hoodie, black pants, black or gray gloves, and black high-top shoes, which authorities believe may have been tactical boots.

Anyone with information on the crimes was urged to call LAPD Olympic Division detectives at 213-382-9460. Anonymous tips can be made by calling Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
