‘Shark Tank’ investor Daymond John is offering a $20,000 reward for information relating to a fatal hit-and-run in Santa Fe Springs.
The victim, John’s friend Dr. Samir Patel, was struck and killed on July 2, 2023. Patel had stepped out of his Santa Fe Springs oxygen health clinic for a walk just before the accident.
John posted a video on Instagram to help spread the word about the reward and the case.
“Unfortunately, this is still an open case, with no arrests, but I hope that will change soon. It’s essential to spread the word as widely as possible to increase the chances of obtaining relevant information,” John wrote in the caption.

Patel’s clinic provides portable hyperbaric chambers, a type of oxygen therapy treatment. His son, Mayur Patel, is continuing his work at the clinic.
