A shirtless man was arrested after climbing onto a Waymo and ripping parts off of it in the middle of a busy intersection in East Hollywood.
It happened Saturday afternoon on Sunset Blvd. and Edgemont St.
Video obtained by KTLA shows the man sitting in the car's shattered windshield before climbing onto the roof, pulling at the car, and yelling at passing traffic.
It's unclear what sparked the incident or what charges the man could face.
KNX News has reached out to Waymo to see how Waymo's safety systems respond in situations like this, and whether incidents involving vandalism of self-driving cars are becoming more common.
