Shrinkflation, skipflation, stagflation - it's hitting everyone's bottom line.

Shopping expert Trae Boge from truetrae.com told KNX News that grocery prices are becoming a problem for both single people and families.

For those looking to save some money at the stores, Boge says there are three cost-cutting moves one can make.

The first move is to buy store brand.

“Generics are very high quality these days, and then buying in bulk when it makes sense,” she said.

The second move is to pay attention to how you pay.

“Some credit cards will give you 2% cashback on everything, some will give you 4% cashback in certain categories like groceries or gas,” she said. “Just get familiar with what those cards can offer and use the card that's the most advantageous for that particular shopping trip.”

The third move is to pretend to shop online.

“It is very helpful to shop around and compare prices online,” she said.

Boge also suggests cashing in drive-up offers. Albertson's Pavilions, Von’s customers can get $30 off their first orders of $75 or more.

Also, most supermarkets with a pharmacy offer $15 off your bill when you transfer over a prescription.
