You’ve heard of dog yoga, cat yoga, and even goat yoga - but what about snake yoga?
At Lxryoga in Costa Mesa, snake yoga classes are being offered where ball pythons are “mindfully incorporated into this gentle yoga class,” according to the studio’s website.
Tes Cao, the co-owner of LXRyoga, told KNX News’ Nataly Tavidian that the idea came in 2019.
“We opened our hot yoga studio upstairs and it was just right before the pandemic happened,” she said. “So we shut down completely and that was when we brought home our very first ball python. My husband had the idea of trying snake yoga one day.”
She said people don’t just come in for yoga.

“It can be either to conquer their fear of snakes because of what we see out there on TV and movies,” she said. “Like, snakes are always the bad guy. No matter what type of snake it is.”
The classes are small, with only four people allowed inside. The price is $160 for one to three people, with $50 for any additional people.
