Sprinkles held the rank as Beverly Hills’ elite designer cupcake maker for 20 years. Now, the company has abruptly closed all of its stores.
It was purchased from Founder Candace Nelson by a private company in 2012.
On the day of New Year’s Eve, employees were notified it was their last day. Many locations sold out of cupcakes and put a sign on the door that said ”We are now sold out. Thanks for being a part of our story.”
A worker at a neighboring business to Sprinkles in Beverly Hills was caught off guard by the closure.

“It was always busy. It was always like a line to outside, people picking up like big bags of cupcakes of big orders,” the worker said.
The Cupcake ATMs have also become inoperable.
