People getting parking tickets on the Westside are mostly staying too long at meters or parking on the wrong side on street sweeping days, according to the Westside Current.

Data collected by the outlet revealed that 28.02% of parking violations were due to no parking/street cleaning, while 19.33% of violations were due to an expired meter.
The outlet also found that Venice is at the top of the list with 30,000 tickets given in 2024.
Behind Venice was Westwood with 20,000 tickets issued.
