A 41-year-old man suspected of throwing a brick at an occupied vehicle in San Marino was taken into custody, police said Friday.
Officers were called to San Marino Avenue and Huntington Drive around 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 12 regarding a man walking in and out of traffic while carrying a brick, according to the San Marino Police Department.

While heading to the scene, the officers learned that the man had thrown the brick at a vehicle, police said.
They found the suspect in the center median of Huntington Drive near Kenilworth Avenue, but he ran away, according to police. Officers subsequently arrested the suspect, Elvis Ayala, of Los Angeles.

According to police, he was previously on active parole for carjacking.
