A man has been detained by sheriff's deputies on suspicion of sexual assaulting a woman at a Santa Clarita park, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said Friday.

Deputies from the Santa Clarita Sheriff's Station were called at 11 p.m. Thursday to Skyline Ranch Park in the 18300 block of Skyline Ranch Road. Deputies arrived at the scene and found the victim semiconscious behind a picnic table, LASD Lt. Luis Molina of the Santa Clarita Sheriff's Station told City News Service.
The suspect was detained by deputies at the scene, Molina said.
The victim was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
Video footage from the scene showed deputies searching the park area for evidence.
