WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KNX) — Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are seeking the public's help to identify a suspected wanted for attempted murder.
On Monday, deputies responded to a West Hollywood shopping center located in the 7800 block of Santa Boulevard. L.A. County Fire and paramedics were already on the scene treading a victim bleeding profusely from his neck and upper torso.
He told deputies he had been walking home from a local store when he was punched in the face without provocation by the suspect. The victim fell to the ground and the suspet got on top of him and continued to punch. The suspect then pulled a sharp, metal object from his pocket and stabbed the victim several times in the face and neck.
The victim said he did not know his attacker. He was transported to a local hospital where he remains in treatment for injuries.
The suspect is described as a adult Black male between 40 and 50 years of age. He stands at about six feet tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. Investigators believe he frequents the area around the Santa Monica Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue bus stop.
