A suspicious item found at a homeless encampment in Tarzana prompted a bomb squad investigation Wednesday morning.

The item was reported around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Reseda and Ventura boulevards, according to the Los Angeles Police Department

Reseda Boulevard was closed between Burbank and Ventura boulevards as the investigation continued into the late morning.
