The discovery of a suspicious package Wednesday prompted closure of the Metro B Line Hollywood/Western station and a bomb squad response.
The item was discovered about 9 a.m. at the station near Hollywood Boulevard and Western Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Trains were skipping the station, and a section of Hollywood Boulevard was closed in the area.
The investigation was continuing late Wednesday morning.
