A teacher's aide pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six months in jail for showing a lewd photograph to children in Santa Ana, according to court records obtained Thursday.

Marvin Elias pleaded guilty Wednesday to a felony count of distributing pornography to a minor with the intent to engage in sexual conduct, as well as misdemeanor counts of child annoyance and indecent exposure. Elias was also placed on two years of formal probation.
He was ordered to report to jail by April 12, according to court records.
Elias was in his vehicle in the 1400 block of South Rene Drive, between Edinger and McFadden avenues, about 3 p.m. on Nov. 29, 2022, when he called over some children walking by to show them a lewd photograph on his cellphone, police said.
