A 16-year-old boy was killed and six others injured in a shooting at a mansion party in Woodland Hills, authorities said.
The shooting occurred at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the 5900 block Winnetka Avenue, a couple blocks north of the Ventura (101) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said the suspect had been arguing with several people inside the house and as he was being escorted out by security, fired several shots into a crowd outside the party before fleeing.
KNX News' Karen Adams reported that there were about 300 people in the mansion.
The 16-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics rushed the wounded men to a hospital, where their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

The party was hosted by Rage Parties, The group issued a statement on Instagram Sunday, revealing that one of the founders and a member of the security team were among those injured. Both are recovering.
“Our team is committed to supporting everybody involved any way we can,” the statement continued. “We are working closely with authorities and will continue to provide updates as we learn more.”
Police had no description of the suspect.
