A 16-year-old was shot by a security guard and killed Monday morning after he apparently intentionally drove a car into a cannabis market in the Sawtelle area of West Los Angeles, investigators said.
The shooting was reported at 3:12 a.m. at Pico Boulevard and Centinela Avenue, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Norma Eisenman told City News Service.

Video showed a newer Hyundai sedan that crashed through the glass window of the ERBA Weed Dispensary's West LA location.
''The suspect drove the entire car into the front of the business,'' Detective Meghan Aguilar said. ''A security guard shot into the vehicle.''
The male juvenile suspect was found suffering from a gunshot wound, conscious and breathing, and was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the LAPD.
