The prestigious music award show will be hosted once more by Trevor Noah. However, the show will no longer take place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The ceremony will now be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. This is the first time the show will be held in Nevada.
Previously, Los Angeles has been the host city for the telecasted GRAMMYs 39 times. The show has also been held in New York City. The move to Las Vegas will mark the first time the telecasted show has been held anywhere else besides Los Angeles or New York since 1973.
The 64th annual broadcast was first postponed due to growing concerns over the Omicron variant surge of COVID-19. Enough artists and executives voiced their reluctance about appearing at the event, which ultimately lead the Recording Academy to once again change the date of the annual ceremony.
The Grammys will air at 5 p.m. local time on April 3 on the CBS Television Network and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
