A huge festival celebrating Juneteenth was held in Leimert Park, drawing thousands of attendees.

The celebration had food booths, bounce houses, musical acts, and hundreds of vendors.

The thousands of attendees got to enjoy food booths, bounce houses, musical acts, and hundreds of vendors.

“What makes this a great, great festival is that the people can actually make and bring their own products for sale,” Avis, an attendee, told KNX News' Emily Valdez. “I love the homemade. Nothing wrong with big box stores, but to have something personalized and made especially for you by people who represent you is wonderful.”

Nathan Gibbs, another attendee, said he was glad people came out to celebrate Juneteenth.

“We need more to celebrate this, to let them know that Lamer Park is still a diverse community,” he told Valdez. “It's a very beautiful, diverse community, and I love it, and I hope it stays that way.”

The celebration will go until 7 p.m.
