The 137th Rose Parade brought vibrant floats to Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena. The theme this year is “The Magic in Teamwork.”
For the first time in 20 years, it rained, which kept attendance lower than usual. It also gave those in attendance a better view. Shanessa and Alexis from Torrance camped out in the rain for the parade.
“We definitely got a little wet, but besides that, we're fine,” they told KNX News’ Jon Baird.
They came prepared with heaters.
“I think it's great coming here even though we got a little bit wet, it's still worth it,” they said.
They were able to view the parade in the front row.

Compared to previous years, the crowds weren’t as big due to the rain. There were better options for parking and viewing.
“It’s amazing. It’s the most beautiful parade I’ve ever seen,” one spectator said.
The rain eased up about halfway through the parade.
