LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Two men and a woman were charged Monday in a New Year’s Eve shooting at a South Los Angeles supermarket that left six people wounded.
Twenty-eight-year-old Beverly Surratt, 18-year-old Juwann Williams and 20-year-old Marquae Yoakum are each facing one felony count of conspiracy to commit murder, two counts of attempted murder and six counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm in connection to the shooting, L.A. County District Attorney George Gascón said.

On New Year’s Eve, Surratt reportedly got into an argument with another shopper while in line at a register at the store located in the 10200 block of South Avalon Boulevard, according to the D.A.’s office.
Following the fight, Surratt allegedly met with Williams and Yoakum, who are then accused of going to the store and firing a dozen times into the supermarket, officials said.
Six people were wounded in the shooting, but no one was gravely injured, officials added.
