Actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish has been released from jail after being arrested early Friday in Beverly Hills on suspicion of driving while impaired, police said.

Haddish, 43, was taken into custody about 5:45 a.m. at Beverly Drive north of Dayton Way, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department. She was booked on suspicion of DUI and later released, police said Friday afternoon.

TMZ.com reported that Haddish was in her stopped car "in the middle of Beverly Drive ... apparently slumped over the wheel while the car was running."

Haddish had performed at The Laugh Factory in West Hollywood Thursday night for the club's 43rd annual free Thanksgiving feast for the community.

The well-known comedian is known for her roles in films including "Girls Trip," "Night School" and "Like a Boss."

Haddish was arrested on suspicion of DUI near Atlanta in January 2022. TMZ reported that case is still pending.
