The break-in reportedly happened during the day and police said they found broken glass outside the guest house.
The main house on the estate was not broken into. Neither Hanks nor Wilson were home during the burglary.
It was unclear if anything was stolen, TMZ reported.
No arrests have been made in the burglary.
The home of Hanks and Wilson is the latest break-in at a celebrity's home. Drake, JoJo Siwa, and Goldie Hawn have reported break-ins recently at their homes.
It is also part of increased reports of home burglaries in the San Fernando Valley and in the Los Angeles area.
