It is tulip season at Descanso Gardens in La Cañada Flintridge, and as
KNX News' Margaret Carrero reports, the promenade is bursting with colors!
With 30,000 tulips in dozens of varieties, Jennifer Errico, director of communications for Descanso Gardens, said, "tulips come in every color and just so many different varieties. Everyone thinks of that classic tulip, but they're tall and short and frilly."
She said the flowers began to bloom a little over a week ago, and as long as temperatures stay relatively cool, they are expected to stick around for another week or so.
Director of Horticulture David Bare, the mastermind behind the breathtaking display, tells Carrero that this peak time of blooming is "a brief and fleeting moment," so you should take the trip and enjoy it while you can.
