LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. (KNX) — Investigators with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department have asked for the public’s help in identifying two men suspected of assaulting a woman in Laguna Niguel last month.

The alleged assault took place on the evening of Jan. 26 as a woman was walking to her vehicle in a “public space,” according to O.C. sheriff’s Sgt. Ryan Anderson. She was approached and attacked by two men — one described as standing at five feet and seven inches tall, at around 30 years of age, Hispanic, and with a tattoo sleeve on his right arm; the other as standing at five feet and eight inches tall, about 40 years old and Hispanic.

The woman told authorities she did not know the suspects. They did not use weapons during the attack.

The incident was believed to be a one off, but an investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about the suspects has been asked to call the O.C. Sheriff’s Department at (714) 647-7000 or (949) 770-6011.
