LOS ANGELES (KNX) – Universal Studios Hollywood announced it will lift masking, COVID-19 testing, and vaccination requirement for guests on Friday.

“Beginning on Friday, March 4, and in accordance with government guidelines, guests will no longer be required to wear facial coverings, or show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test when visiting Universal Studios Hollywood,” a Universal Studios Hollywood spokesperson said, according to Deadline.

“Facial coverings continue to be strongly recommended while indoors.”

It comes days after the Los Angeles County Director of Public Health Barbara Ferrer announced that the county could lift indoor masks mandates on Friday.

“We are prepared on Thursday to issue a modified health officer order with an effective date of implementation for Friday that will strongly recommend and not require indoor masking in most public indoors spaces,” Ferrer said.

Last month, Disneyland, along with Knott’s Berry Farms, allowed vaccinated guests to go maskless in most indoor areas of the amusement park. Six Flags Magic Mountain is still requiring guests to wear masks at this time.
