Universal Studios to reopen, but only its restaurants, shops – rides, shows attractions are all shuttered

Universal Studios announced Thursday that starting March 12, it is reopening its park to the public, but only the shops and restaurants are available to guests. Rides, shows and attractions will be shuttered.

In an effort to entice park-goers, Universal is launching the “Taste of Universal” experience beginning March 12.

Tickets will be $44 for adults and children 3 and up.

Shops and restaurants in “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” and “Springfield, U.S.A” are open as is the newly opened Minion Cafe, ocated across from the popular “Despicable Me” ride.

The experience will run weekly from Friday through Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. All visitors will have to undergo temperature checks and  face masks are required.

On March 18, Disneyland’s  “A Touch of Disney” at California Adventure Park will open, while Universal CityWalk reponed its stores in June.
