Residents of a Northridge neighborhood woke up to a shocking Christmas surprise when they saw that vandals had tagged their parked vehicles with gang-related messages and shattered some of their windows, according to media reports Friday.

The damage was done between 2:30 and 5 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Corbin Avenue and Prairie Street, affected residents told Fox 11.
About a half-dozen vehicles were damaged.
The Los Angeles Police Department did not send officers to the scene, instead telling the victims to file reports online, Fox 11 reported.
