A thief broke into Cats and Comics Rescue in Upland for the second time in six months, taking off with Pokémon cards and other collectibles.
Security cameras showed a thief throwing a rock through the glass door and heading into the back of the store. He took off with a box of Pokémon cards and other high-end items.
“What he hurt was the things we use to sell to continue our TNR programs to continue vetting these cats, our vet costs, their food, their litter, everything that we need to on the daily take care of these cats,” Marcie Guerra, a volunteer told KNX News’ Emily Valdez.

The shop owner says the new door will cost about $600, and security bars could run up to $4,500. The shop was previously hit in December, when over $5,000 in comics were stolen. Luckily none of the cats were inside the store when the suspect broke in.
Upland police is still searching for the suspect.
