Police responded to the school on Monday morning. Officers say it appears a group of people entered the school hall. A life-size statue of the Virgin Mary was decapitated, and parts of a campus sound system were found piled by the door.

“We feel violated," Cyril Cruz, the school’s principal, told CBS L.A. "I feel just really bad for our families, for our scholars."

Police have collected fingerprints, shoe prints, and blood samples as part of their investigation.
