Waymo recalled 1,200 of its self-driving taxis late last year to fix software issues that caused it to crash into gates.
The automated vehicles have had 16 minor collisions with chains, gates, and other barriers. The company resolved the issue with a software update in November, and it doesn't impact any vehicles currently on the road, according to a Waymo spokesperson.

"We hold ourselves to a high safety standard, and our record of reducing injuries over tens of millions of fully autonomous miles driven shows our technology is making roads safer,” a Waymo spokesperson told KNX News.
This is just the latest headache for Waymo, which has recently been barraged with complaints over the constant beeping and honking at its Santa Monica charging lots.
The company is also under investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration over reports that its robotaxis violated traffic laws.
Correction: A previous version of this article misstated that the recall affected vehicles currently on the roads.
