Deputies were sent to the 28300 block of Rey De Copas Lane at about 8:15 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Special Enforcement Bureau personnel were sent to the scene, along with a Crisis Negotiation Team, the sheriff's department reported.

It was unclear what prompted the initial sheriff's response and standoff, which came to an end around mid-afternoon when the suspect surrendered. The person's name was not immediately released.
