Woman arrested for alleged Seal Beach drug house operation

SEAL BEACH, Calif. (KNX) — Two people were arrested for allegedly operating a "drug house" in the 1700 block of Crestview Avenue in Seal Beach, according to police.

Police arrested Amber Conley of Seal Beach and Nicholas Nicks of Garden Grove, Calif. around 7:30 p.m. Thursday after numerous complaints from neighbors about suspicious activity in and around the house they lived in, Seal Beach Police said in a statement, adding that officers had also been to the property for a fatal drug overdose call previously.

Upon serving a warrant for the house, "it was discovered that the individuals [in the house] were allegedly running a drug house and were in possession of a large quantity of narcotics for sale," police said.

Nicks, 27, was arrested for an outstanding warrant and later released on citation, according to police.

Conley, 37, was arrested for possession of narcotics for sale and operating/maintaining a residence for narcotics use/sale and booked into the Orange County Jail. A search of the jail roster revealed that Conley was released the next day on $0 bail.

There is currently no threat to the public as a result of this incident, police said, however, the investigation is active and ongoing.
