An investigation was continuing Tuesday into an attempted burglary of a Studio City home that apparently went awry when the intruders were spotted by a resident -- reported to be the mother of music mogul Benny Blanco, husband of actress/singer Selena Gomez.

The Los Angeles Police Department would not confirm the identity of the woman in the home, saying only that a break-in occurred around 9:30 p.m. Monday at a home in the 4100 block of Shadyglade Avenue, and that the suspects fled before police arrived.
NBC4 reported that the home belongs to Sandra Levin, Blanco's mother, who ran into the bathroom of an upstairs bedroom when two suspects entered her home through a side sliding glass door.
According to the report, the intruders made their way to the second floor of the home and went into the bedroom. When Levin peeked out of the bathroom and spotted the intruders, they saw her and fled the residence.
No injuries were reported and nothing is believed to have been taken from the home.
The suspects were described only as males wearing dark clothing and masks, Channel 4 reported. TMZ reported that police were alerted to the break- in by a home-security alarm.
Blanco has produced or worked a wide array of artists, including Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Britney Spears, Rihanna, The Weeknd, Keith Urban, Ariana Grande and Christina Aguilera.
He married Gomez on Sept. 27 in Santa Barbara. The couple had been dating since 2023.
