An attorney for plaintiff Ana P. Rosales filed court papers on Monday with Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Tony L. Richardson asking that his client's lawsuit be dismissed "with prejudice," meaning it cannot be refiled. The court papers do not state if a settlement was reached or if Rosales is not pursuing the case for other reasons.
The lawsuit filed Aug. 22 sought $32,560 for the alleged missed meal and rest periods, another $9,280 in waiting time penalties, plus the costs of the suit, including attorneys' fees.
In previous court papers, Maloof's attorney denied Rosales' allegations, said they were barred by the statute of limitations and asked that judgment be entered in Maloof's favor.
Rosales was hired in August 2021 and worked at the Aubrey Road residence five days a week at $22 an hour until she was terminated in September 2024, according to the suit, which further alleges that Maloof did not keep accurate records of the plaintiff's work hours.
Maloof, 64, is a co-owner of the various business holdings of the Maloof Companies, which include a stake in the Vegas Golden Knights and the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
