A woman was shot to death Monday morning in Lancaster, authorities said.
It was reported about 4:40 a.m. and occurred in the 6300 block of West Avenue J-2, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and there was no other immediate information.
