A woman was killed when two vehicles collided in Playa del Rey and one went over the side of the road to strike her, authorities said Monday.

The crash happened around 7:10 p.m. Sunday in the 8200 block of Vista Del Mar, next to the shoreline, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A roughly 70-year-old man sustained minor injuries.
The 25-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Los Angeles Police Department Officer D. Orris told City News Service.
It was unclear what led to the crash. The investigation continued.
