LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Police have begun a homicide investigation after a woman's body was found wrapped in plastic Sunday near downtown Los Angeles.
Los Angeles police responded to a home in the 2200 block of Wall Street around 11:15 a.m. after receiving a call about the discovery of a woman's body, KCAL News reported.

The woman who called said she had gone into her son's room because there was a distinct gas smell in the residence. She told police she saw a woman's body wrapped in plastic inside the room, the station reported.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity was withheld pending identification and notification of next of kin.
The only information suspect information the LAPD provided was that a possible suspect was a man in his 20s.
