Freeway workers on the 605 were the targets of a drive-by shooting Sunday night.
As KNX News' Pete Demetriou reports, the barrage of gunfire is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.

According to Officer Joseph Davila with the Baldwin Park CHP office, the site of the incident, between The 10 and Ramona Boulevard, was partially closed due to construction.

Investigators closed down the road entirely following the report and found 10, 9-millimeter shell casings along a stretch of the freeway.
The best information they have is that the shots were fired by someone in a dark-colored sedan, possibly an older model Dodge Charger.
None of the construction workers or their equipment was hit by the gunfire, and investigators are now checking traffic cameras at off-ramps on streets north of the area to see if they can confirm if the car exited following the shooting spree.
