Mariska Hargitay has revealed she broke her knee and suffered a fractured ankle after getting an MRI for her injuries.
The “Law & Order: SVU” star shared an image wearing a boot on her left foot and a brace on her right knee on Wednesday.
"#ThatFeelingWhen, you go to the doctor, get an MRI and find out that you have a broken knee, a hairline fracture in your ankle, and a torn ligament," the 57-year-old captioned the pic of herself as she walked out of the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. “It’s always a good idea to go to the doctor. Immediately.”
Hargitay kept a sense of humor about the entire incident and included funny hashtags such as: “Busting Perps With Busted Knees," "Brace Yourself" "Not The Bees Knees" and "The Queen Bees Knees."
Despite the multiple injuries, the actress won’t require going under the knife. She added: “Great news is I don’t need surgery.”
Hargitay has not disclosed details of how she sustained the injuries, but it appears it won’t affect her role on “Law & Order."
According to People, “SVU” has finished filming for the season and only has three episodes left to air until the season finale in June.
Hargitay has also made several appearances on Christopher Meloni’s spinoff, “Law & Order: Organized Crime," since premiering in April.

The two actors, who were co-stars for a decade on “SVU,” have had fans in a tizzy following the reunion of Hargitay’s Benson with Meloni’s character Elliot Stabler.
Last week, NBC aired the second crossover episode in which both stars appeared on each other’s installments of the franchise.
