At least 10 people were injured when gunfire erupted outside of a Florida restaurant where rappers Rob49 and French Montana were filming a music video.
The shooting happened Thursday evening outside The Licking soul food restaurant in Miami Gardens. Fellow rapper DJ Khaled is co-owner of the restaurant chain, which has a number of locations in South Florida and Chicago.
Miami Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene after receiving reports of a "mass casualty incident," CNN reported.
"A total of 10 patients were injured. Four of the patients self-transported to local area hospitals. MDFR transported the remaining 6 patients by ground and air rescue to local trauma centers," the department said in a statement to the outlet. The victims suffered "traumatic injuries" but their conditions were not released.
Rapper Ced Mogul told WTVJ that Rob49 was among those shot. Several other reports identified another victim as French Montana's bodyguard.
Mogul shared video with the outlet that shows French Montana and Rob49 in the backseat of a car during the video shoot and before the gunfire.
Mogul told WFOR that 10 to 15 gunshots rang out from what sounded like an assault rifle, and people started running everywhere.
"Some people had blood on their shirts, some people were crying on the ground," he said. "It's just tragic."
The incident happened as French Montana was shooting a scene for a video in the restaurant's back parking lot, according to a statement from the restaurant.
"We have no idea what actually took place," the restaurant told CNN. "The Licking restaurant has nothing to do with the incident and has given police the necessary footage requested."
Police told WTVJ it's believed an altercation started at a different restaurant and then moved to The Licking, where the shooting happened.
No arrests have been made. The incident remains under investigation.
