An "aggressive" United Airlines passenger is facing charges after biting a flight attendant on a plane from Miami this week.

The flight left Miami International Airport in Florida for Newark, New Jersey on Tuesday evening but was forced to make a sudden diversion to Orlando after the female passenger began causing chaos on board the flight.

Cellphone video obtained by TMZ shows the woman screaming at other passengers as flight attendants tried to restrain her and put zip-ties around her wrists.

During the altercation, the woman bit the shoulder of one of the crew members and ripped off a piece of his uniform.

In another video, the woman could be heard ranting as a flight attendant secured the zip-ties.
