PHOENIX (KNX) — Arizona public health officials reported Thursday over 4,000 new, confirmed COVID-19 cases for the second time in a week.
The Department of Health Services' COVID-19 dashboard reported 4,1814 additional cases and 56 more deaths.
As of Wednesday, 2,403 patients with COVID-19 occupied hospital inpatient beds, the highest number since February. Only 6% of the state's inpatient beds were not in use as of Wednesday — the lowest vacancy rate since the beginning of the pandemic.
Arizona is one of a handful of states nationwide that has prohibited proof of vaccination requirements for entry to indoor public spaces.
